"Applied Chemical Technology (Elementary Level)" is one of the textbooks in the Job-Oriented Chinese series. It is intended for employees from all countries engaged in ore analysis and testing in Chinese enterprises. Through this textbook, learners will be able to conduct simple work communication in Chinese, understand the whole process operation techniques of ore analysis and testing, and read Chinese job descriptions.
During the compilation of this textbook, it was developed in accordance with standards such as Laboratory Management Specifications and Methods for Chemical Analysis of Ores. Experts in applied chemical technology were engaged to supervise the process. Research was conducted in Chinese-funded enterprises stationed abroad to understand enterprises' requirements for employees' language, skills and overall quality. Authentic language materials from real work scenarios and typical work tasks were reconstructed into texts and dialogues suitable for "zero-based" learners.
The book consists of 30 lessons in total. Each lesson includes eight parts: review, warm-up, new words, text, grammar, comprehensive exercises, expansion and summary. It is also equipped with abundant pictures, striving to present real occupational scenarios in an illustrated form. In addition, audio and video resources have been developed to help learners master the ability to communicate basically in Chinese in occupational scenarios.
