This series presents abridged versions of the four Chinese classic novels, namely Journey to the West, Outlaws of the Marsh, A Dream of Red Mansions, and Romance of theThree Kingdoms.
Each book contains around 20 stories, each approximately 3,000 characters in length or shorter. All stories are limited to the 2,500 characters required for HSK Level 5. By reading these classics, Chinese language learners can further improve their reading ability and gain a better understanding of Chinese culture. In this series, each story is annotated with pinyin. A "pinyin-invisible card" is provided, allowing readers who wish to read the stories without referring to the pinyin to cover it up.
